SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!

Being a photographer, it's surprising that I've NEVER done a session with my brother and sister.  Well, the time has come for that to change.  My sister, Jessica, insisted that we put together a surprise session so we can make canvas for my parents for Christmas.  We chose to do our pics at my Brother's new condo on the intercoastal in Fort Lauderdale.  What I didn't tell him was that I planning on making him some canvas from our session too.  I knew just where I would have him put them in his new place!!!!  Luckily, his girlfriend was there too so I was able to score a couple of cutie-pie ones of them together too.

Well, they came out so good!  Despite the sun almost setting on us (and having to use my tripod and remote). I'm really happy with how they turned out.

How did my parents react??  My mom actually cried as she started opening them!!!

Perfection!

Baby Quincy

What a precious little pumpkin I was able to capture for her newborn pictures.  She was not too excited to have a camera on her yet, but I have full faith she will be modeling it up in just a few months.   Quincy got some great shots though and we were so excited when we finally got the "money" shot of her smiling.  She is so lucky to be coming into such a big and loving family.  I can't wait to take pictures of her as she grows up!!!!

The Stubbs Family

There are no words to explain how much I enjoyed my session with the Stubbs Family.  They are going through something really hard and it was so special for me to do this for their family.   I was touched by the father and son relationship that I was able to capture.  They absolutely melted my heart with all the sweetness between the three of them.  When I edited the pictures, I found myself just staring at them because I was amazed at how candid they were.  I was really excited to preview them to Cathy!!!

I just want to thank the Stubbs family for letting me capture this for them.

Rachel Ballard and Hannah Gragg

THE YUMMIEST LIGHTING EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Doing this Sisterly family session was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

I love LOVE LOVVVVVEEEE Family sessions.  Getting the kids to act comfortable with me is one of my MOST favorite things.  Having two boys myself I see that most of the time I end up with lots of posey-posey pictures with plastic fake smiles.  But... when I can get a really sweet expression that is genuine.... SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This session was full of them.  Daddy-kiddie fishing, lots of giggling, and COUSIN LOVE.

Basically, perfection.

Baby Haven

This was my first session with the Byrnes family and I couldn't be more excited to take them!!!  Baby Haven was absolutely precious and already such a good girl.  I bet she will take after her big sister and absolutely become a little model!!!  I"m so excited with how the images came out.  Her newborn shots are some of my favorite, ever.

This is just such a beautiful family on the inside and out.  I must say, it was kind of hard to select which images I was going to use for them.  I really hope they enjoyed it.

Elf on a Shelf Christmas Card...

It's that time of the year again... you know when the Elf on the Shelf comes to visit.  It's so much fun to think of ideas of how our little "Elfie" can create joy and wonder in my kids lives.  There are tons of resources online of cute things to do with Mr. Elf.  I've done a lot of them last year, so I'm trying (it's not easy with a 10 weeks old!) to get creative with some new ideas for this year.
I thought I would share some with you along the way of Mr. Elfie's adventure in the Emerson Household.

Feel Free to copy!!!

I'm also showing the Christmas Card I designed from Mr. Elf ... just "like" my photography page on facebook and message me and i'll send you the blank template, just add your kids name in.  In fact you can print this card (It's sized 6X8) at Sams Club for only 38 CENTS!!!!

Elfie Arrives:
Day 1:
I just finished a "calendar themed" photo session where my clients brought balloons for the Month of January.   My six year old (Who I thought would NEVER buy into the elf this year) was playing with the balloons all day, so I thought they would be the perfect way to bring on the elf and draw attention to him in his room.  I put him right over his darth vader clock just in case he didn't see him.  Austin was SO excited that Elfie was back again.  Thank goodness he isn't too old for "Elfie" yet!!!

Day 2:
Elfie Leaves a personal message
We have been having a problem getting Austin to brush his teeth enough each day.  He will brush them on his own so I don't want to take that away from him but he's been pretty lazy about brushing for 2 minutes in the morning and night.  So... Mr. "Elfie" is here to share a message from Santa using Austin's Play shaving cream.  Elfie wrote, "Brush your teeth," as the message.  It definitely worked!!!!

Day 3:
Elfie Begins the Christmas Tree Decorating!!!

Day 4:
Elf and Toy Soldiers Versus the Lego Mini Figures

Day 5:
We have done the Powdered Sugar snow angels, so this year we used rice.  (This was Austin's favorite last year so it needed to make a re-appearance)

Day 6:
Naughty Elf has Toilet Papered our Christmas Tree!!!

Day 7:
The silly elf printed out his picture and taped it over Austins.  He used the tape to stick himself to the wall too!!!

Day 8:
Mr. Elfie has stolen our M&M's and spelled out HO HO HO

The Abboud Family

I'm 100% sure that the Abboud family is the most supportive of me since I've started Cindy Emerson Photography.  Every step of the way they have been there to provide love, help, reassurance, and guidance.  If it wasn't for them,  I'm pretty sure I would not be anywhere near as successful as I am today doing what I absolutely love.

This was one of my favorite sessions because it involved the coolest guy in the whole world, ADAH!!!  He is hilarious.  His 92 years of wisdom comes down to this... drink lots of whiskey and exercise a lot while you're young.  (There are a few more naughtier comments too.. haha!!)  It made me so happy to capture him with all the love surrounding him.  It was very special.

Is this not a GORGEOUS family?  (Inside and out)

Lots of Love!!!

The Van Brimmer Family

Each new addition makes this family even cuter!!!  I'm so excited to share the Van Brimmer Session with everyone.  We did it "Old Florida" style for our holiday session this year which included Orange Groves, Train tracks, and an old packing plant in Sebastian Florida.  The boys were so adorable and we just had so much fun watching the train, posing, and throwing rocks on the tracks.  I must admit, this is such an easy family to photograph because they are just burting with love!!!

I had a BLAST and I'm so happy with how our session turned out.  :)

The LaBrosse Family

This was a "newbie" family for me this year, but it sure didn't feel that way.  Right from the start the absolutely adorable brothers, Owen and Conor, won my heart.  Owen has the most adorable chubby cheeky and crystal blue eyes and Owen has a smile and personality that will melt your heart.  These two brothers were little love bugs.  I can't even tell you how many adorable shots I got of Owen giving Conor kisses.  I think it hits a sweet spot for me having two little boys of my own!!  Not only are they adorable, but I can't say enough about how awesome their parents, Kera and Mark, are.  Pretty much a "picture perfect" family.

The Verwys Family Session

What comes to mind when I think of this adorable family is sweetness.  Vince is such a sweet little guy.  Even though he wasn't TOTALLY feeling the picture taking love at first, he totally warmed up with some jumping and frozen yogurt.  Once he got the grin going, it was pure perfection.  There is no doubt that he is absolutely in love with his mommy too.  I'm so glad to be able to take shots of this adorable family again this year.  Watching Vince grow up is so special.
